MUSIC DEFINES OUR MOST IMPORTANT MOMENTS.
MAKE SURE IT'S GOOD.
I've DJd across the globe, and just about everywhere you could imagine around my wonderful home town of Ithaca, NY. Whether it's a vinyl bar in Tokyo, a beachside resort in Jamaica, opening for legendary musicians in sold out clubs, or keeping the vibe right at a festival, museum or basement rave; I bring my taste, experience and skill to make sure that the music is always right.
My work as a DJ began on the radio. As a Music and Programming Director at one of the nation's top ranked college radio stations (WICB), I oversaw a roster of shows as well as hosting my own shows with music and interviews with artists including Q-Tip, Method Man, Lupe Fiasco, Guru of Gangstarr, Madlib, Rick Ross, Little Brother and a long list of others. The station won the MTV U Woodie award for Best College Radio in 2008, the same year that I earned the prize for best specialty show.
Always a fan of live music and nightlife, and a student of what inspired the masses to dance, sing, jump and smile... an unlikely move to Cleveland, OH began my career as a club and event DJ. With a technical foundation in vinyl from indie hip hop labels and the vaults of the radio station, the transition to honing mixing, blending and scratching skills was a natural one. Gigs at house parties quickly turned into playing host to sold out concerts for artists like Mac Miller, and spinning alongside local heroes like Terry Urban and MICK (Boogie) at their legendary "I Got 5 On it Party".
The next frontier was planning, promoting and putting on my own events. This began with an annual tribute and fundraiser to honor the legacy of lauded producer/emcee J Dilla. With a sold out first year, the event quickly blossomed into partnerships with The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, American Apparel, Stones Throw Records and many local artists and businesses. Later years spent living in New Orleans and Philadelphia allowed me to connect with and be a part of local scenes in these legendary music cities.
Opportunities have only continued to open from there and especially in recent years as I have built my skills and library as a vinyl collector and DJ, the values that defined those early radio shows have endured. My goal is to connect people through the power of great music, and the rest usually works itself out from there.

weddings
I'm not a "wedding DJ", but I would love to help make your special day that much better.
Whether it’s the most important day of your life, or just a chance to celebrate with loved ones—music can define your wedding. From the emotion of the ceremony, to the vibe of cocktails and dinner, to the joy of dancing the night away. . . the music has to be right.
I specialize in having the flexibility to cater to your tastes and the experience to know what works best. I am happy to take as much input as you want to give, or allow you to have one less thing to worry about, knowing that you are in good hands.
I know that there is a thin line between cheesy and fun, and I will not force your grandmother to do the electric slide (unless you really want me to). I will make sure that everything sounds great, your guest are happy, and that everyone is dancing.
I’m proud to be a part of the Sweet Bough Wedding Collective community along with vendors of all shapes and sizes who abide by similar principles of respect, inclusion, and compassion.
Below is a live recording of about two hours of dancing at a wedding. It's a mix of music to keep everyone happy and dancing, along with specific requests from the couple.
